01 What we collect

QuickShare collects a minimal set of data to function. Here is a complete list:

• Your public IP address — fetched from a third-party API (ipify.org) and used as a session key to associate your text with your session. It is not stored in a user profile or linked to any personal identity.
• The text you type — saved to a Firebase Realtime Database, keyed to a hashed representation of your IP address, and automatically deleted after 7 days.
• Timestamps — a last-saved timestamp is stored alongside your text to determine expiry.
• Browser telemetry (optional) — if ads are enabled, the advertising partner (Google AdSense) may collect standard browser signals such as browser type, device category, and coarse geolocation for ad serving. See Section 5.

02 How we use it

The data collected is used solely to deliver the core service:

• Your IP address is used to read and write your text session — nothing else.
• Your text content is stored and retrieved so it can sync across devices on the same IP.
• Timestamps are used exclusively to enforce the 7-day expiry rule.

We do not use your data for profiling, behavioral analytics, or targeted marketing.

03 Storage & retention

Text content is stored in Google Firebase Realtime Database, hosted in the asia-southeast1 region. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

Retention: All text sessions are automatically deleted 7 days after the last save timestamp. No manual action is required on your part. Once deleted, data is unrecoverable.

If you clear your content using the "Clear" button in the editor, the data is immediately removed from the database.

04 Third-party services

QuickShare relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase — real-time database and hosting infrastructure. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• ipify.org — public IP detection API. A single request is made on page load; no user data beyond the IP request is transmitted. Subject to ipify's terms.
• Google Fonts — font delivery via Google's CDN. Standard browser headers (IP, user-agent) are sent with font requests.

05 Advertising

QuickShare displays ad placements to support free access to the service. Ads are served through Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's ad settings or by using the NAI opt-out tool.

06 Your rights

Because QuickShare does not create user accounts or store personally identifiable information beyond your public IP as a session key, traditional data access requests (e.g., GDPR subject access requests) are difficult to fulfill definitively — we cannot match your identity to a session without your current public IP.

That said:

• You can delete your data at any time by clicking "Clear" in the editor.
• All data is automatically deleted after 7 days regardless.
• You can contact us with any privacy-related requests or concerns and we will do our best to assist.

07 Children's privacy

QuickShare is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the service, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

08 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of QuickShare after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will not make material changes that significantly expand data collection without providing prominent notice.
